Philips, Forecast and Thomas Lighting Create New House of Brands
Philips Consumer Luminaires expanded its global presence by establishing a North American business unit, which commenced January 2010. The new business unit, based in Elgin IL, manages a portfolio of brands – Philips branded residential lighting fixtures, Thomas Lighting and Forecast. Through an integrated marketing and selling approach the three brands are available to the residential and homebuilding markets. The complete product portfolio spans all decorative styles from traditional, transitional to contemporary and while satisfying a wide cross section of customer needs.
Philips Consumer Luminaires is building on its strengths with new “ambient creation,” sustainable and environmentally friendly products. Philips Consumer Luminaires launched the new 2010 full line of products for Thomas Lighting and Forecast in two catalogs at the January 2010 Lighting Market in Dallas, Texas. In that same Lighting Market the Philips branded fixtures were introduced, becoming available to the North American market in the second half of 2010.
