Thomas Lighting Replaces The TR1 With The Pro Series 1 Recessed Can

Thomas Lighting has discontinued the TR1 recessed can and replaced it with a recessed can that has many more features.

The new Thomas Lighting Pro Series 1 recessed can has hit the lighting industry by storm. With a multitude of features, the 6” recessed can has been received with great enthusiasm by the electrical industry.

Features and Benefits of the new PS1 recessed can

  • Junction box has a hinged cover to prevent accidental loss
  • PS1 housing is a lighter can which makes installation easier
  • Pre-positioned nails allow fast, secure installation to wooden joists
  • Locking tab easily fastens to suspended ceiling grid
  • Bar hanger flange automatically levels housing
  • Strong interlocking bar hangers adjust for joist centers from 16” to 24”
  • When installing in less than 16” joists, one piece of the bar hanger may be removed and the remaining straight edge can be easily bent to accommodate a nail
  • Spring clip on bar hanger allows easy repositioning along the bar hanger. Releasing the spring locks the housing in place
  • Large junction box provides 4 Romex and 5 conduit knockouts
  • Includes a die-cut plaster shield to protect inside of housing during construction
  • IC, Non IC, Washington State Energy Code approved, no additional gaskets required
  • UL listed for damp locations
  • All existing Thomas lighting trims may be used with the new PS1 housing
